Autologous mesotherapy

Autologous facial mesotherapy with PRP uses platelet-rich plasma from the person’s own blood. Cosmetic application needs assessment, information about uncertainty and appropriate technique.

Autologous origin does not establish that the procedure is the most biocompatible, ideal for everybody or lasts a year longer than every other mesotherapy. Hypotheses involving platelet growth factors do not replace comparative clinical evidence. Response may vary with protocol, area and skin condition. Cosmetic concerns need separate assessment and do not automatically become promises of damage prevention, increased cellular metabolism or elimination of every imperfection. The following topics are considered as goals and limitations rather than assured outcomes:

  • Wrinkles: prevention or complete disappearance is not guaranteed.
  • Hydration: appropriate daily care remains relevant and identical change is not established for everybody.
  • Texture and elasticity: assessment depends on the concern and actual application.
  • Hyperpigmentation: diagnose the cause before cosmetic intervention.
  • Skin appearance: a possible result is not universal improvement of health.
  • Laxity: expectations and alternatives need discussion without promising complete correction.

Disappearance of wrinkles or imperfections through continuing collagen production is not guaranteed. If benefit occurs, timing, extent and duration vary. Assessment and review matter; photographs and general descriptions do not predict identical outcomes for everybody. Care quality depends on appropriate information, safety and actual follow up rather than a promise of spectacular results.
General information
Appointment duration and the number of applications follow assessment. Completing all goals within one hour or visit is not guaranteed. Fine needles may cause discomfort, bruising or swelling, and return to work varies. Using your own plasma does not remove risks or bypass safe blood handling and technique. Request care instructions and contact advice for unusual pain, irritation or possible infection. Discuss realistic expectations without universal assurances of painless application or spectacular results.

The treatment is also applied to the neck, décolletage, underarms, hands and even the knee area. At our medical centre, autologous mesotherapy is performed exclusively by doctors.

Autologous mesotherapy: informed choices

Describing a material does not predict the duration or size of a change. Information before an aesthetic procedure should also address limitations.

PRP is a procedure rather than a general regeneration promise

Platelet-rich plasma comes from processing a sample of the person’s blood. This explains material origin without guaranteeing an ideal result or zero risk. Preparation and application can differ. Ask exactly what is proposed, which area is involved and whether another technique is included with different aims or adverse effects. The word autologous should identify the source, rather than replace a discussion about the actual procedure, supporting evidence and the outcome being sought in this particular case.

Describe the aesthetic aim specifically. Fine lines, scars, pigment variation and laxity are different concerns and may not respond to the same approach. Examination helps discuss options and limits. Mentioning collagen does not predict disappearance of every imperfection. Declining a procedure is also an option when expectations cannot be met. An informed discussion allows time to clarify what matters most and what improvement would be meaningful without promising that one application addresses every visible feature or prevents all future ageing.

Assessment includes history and blood safety

Mention medicines, anticoagulants, blood disorders, infections, previous reactions and skin condition. Using your own material does not remove the need to assess suitability. Do not independently stop medication to prepare. Request instructions and an explanation of any reason to postpone. An aesthetic preference should not create pressure to bypass a useful clinical check or treat an existing medical concern as unimportant because the procedure is described as natural, minimally invasive or based on the person’s own blood components.

Correct identification, sterility and safe blood handling are essential. Ask how the correct sample is ensured and which materials are single use. Autologous does not mean every preparation process is automatically safe. Information should concern the actual application and setting, not only growth-factor theory or an attractive service name. This helps distinguish the biological idea from the practical safeguards needed when blood is collected, processed and introduced back into the skin through a procedure that still requires appropriate care and technique.

What can happen afterwards

Pain, bruising and swelling are possible, and return to activities varies. Ask about care, restrictions and contact criteria. A common reaction should not be described as guaranteed painless or invisible. Worsening, significant pain, infection signs or another unusual presentation needs assessment rather than being assumed regeneration or a necessary stage of improvement. Know whom to contact and keep the procedure details available so a concern can be discussed accurately instead of managed with an unrelated online product or home remedy.

If there is a result, timing and duration vary. Comparison with every other mesotherapy needs relevant comparative evidence rather than autologous origin alone. Discuss lighting, angle and timing in before-and-after photographs. They do not establish identical outcomes for everyone or exclude another simultaneous intervention contributing to part of the appearance.

Cost and an unpressured decision

Request the price per procedure and the proposed total, including optional additions and reviews. Ask what supports the number of sessions and whether maintenance is suggested. An initial price is insufficient when repetition is planned. The facial PRP introduction adds questions, while choice remains individual rather than following a broad promise of the most biocompatible or ideal method.

Keep time to consider the choice and alternatives. A cosmetic procedure need not become an urgent purchase because a package is available or spectacular results are displayed. Understand what may change, what may not and who reviews a problem. Consent rests on specific information and uncertainty, not a requirement for all wrinkles or imperfections to disappear.

Aesthetic goals and informed choices

Is the duration of a result the same for everyone?

A general description cannot establish that. The application, goal and individual history need discussion before expectations are set.

How can I describe an aesthetic goal clearly?

Identify the area, the change sought and previous procedures or skin reactions. Discussion of limitations and risks is part of informed choice, not a promise of a particular appearance.
